Oldies but Goodies

I have been cleaning out closets and I came across these cute pictures from the kids. This post is more for me that it might be for you. I plan to make my blog into a book, so I will have documents of all these cute drawings the kids made and I can throw away the millions of papers.

Funny-isms

Here are some funny things the kids have said lately:

The other night while Brandon was driving the kids home from my Sister's wedding reception Cambree kept saying,
"My dress is so stinkin cute, I could just die!"
She said that about Ryan and Ashley's car that we decorated,
"Ashley's car is so stinkin cute, I could just die!"

So I have a large mole on the side of my face, actually I have moles everywhere. But there is one in particular that the kids bother me about. But they can never get it in their heads that it is called a mole. They call it a Mullet!! haha
They are always telling me, "mom, there is a Mullet on your face"
"Mom, where did you get that mullet?"
"Mom, will I have mullets on my face too"
"When will my mullets come in?"
"Look mom, I found a mullet on my arm"
Well I guess we are just a family of mullet heads, what can I say?

My baby sis gets married

Well they did it!! My sister got herself hitched!!!

Our cute little family on the temple grounds. The tulips, flowers and trees were gorgeous!

My sis looked SO pretty! Ryan is one lucky man!

These two are excited to be "cousins" (sort of)! Two pees in a pod

They had an ice cream bar, waffle cones, and all the toppings you could hope for.

My handsome dad! I was so proud of him, he shed just a couple little tears during the ceremony, and then after the reception starting singing "Another One Bites the Dust"!

Such a great day! Everything was SO pretty! Congrats you guys, we are SO excited for you!
PS for those who don't know. Ryan did not tell a soul where they were going on their Honeymoon, I got a small quick text from her yesterday that said they just arrived in
Jackson Hole!!

Mother's Day

I love Mother's Day! I got to sleep in until 8:30am. What a treat! I woke up to my kids and hubby walking in with a GIANT plate of breakfast and singing "Mother I Love You". How cute is that? Then my mom was able to come over and spend almost the whole day with us. She went to church with us and was able to hear the kids sing in Sacrament Meeting. Then we came home from church and had the whole family over for some yummy food!

The kids made me the cutest little gifts at school!
It reads:
Sometimes I get discouraged becasue I am so small,
And always leave my fingerprints on furniture and walls.
But everyday I'm growing; -I'll be grown-up someday,
And all these tiny handprints will simply fade away.
So here are my little handprints, just so you can recall,
Exactly how they looked when I was very small.
I love you Mom! Love Caleb H

Cambree gave me these cute little gifts too!
It reads:
My mom is really great;
She's sweet as she can be;
When I need some help, I know
She's always there for me.
Mom loves me all the time,
Even when I'm a pest;
She always takes good care of me;
My mother is the best!

This reads:
My mother is the most important person that I know.
She does so many things for me.....
Like cook and wash and sew.
She dries my eyes and mends my cuts,
She plays with me each day.
And this is how I see her.....
In her very special way.
She has YELLOW hair.
Big BLUE eyes
She's 5 years old
I think she's 16 inches high
And she has a heart of gold.
Her favorite color must be RED
...I think that's what she said.
She weighs about 16,000 100 lbs
And tucks me into bed.
Her favorite food is LASAGNA
I love her you can see.
She's just the perfect mother
And she means everything to me!
All my love,
Cambree

I also got a beautiful spring bouquet of flowers from my handsome hubby!
I am SO grateful to be a mother and to have 3 beautiful kids. I feel so blessed. I couldn't ask for anything more. Thanks for making my day SO nice!!

If you have a weak stomach do not read this!

A couple years ago we thought it would be a good idea to buy the kids a cute little dog. So that is exactly what we found....a CUTE, LITTLE, dog. We have learned over and over that maybe we should have got a cute little dog with brains.
Dexter is SO stupid!

If you tend to get queasy over gross stories, stop reading here. The following could promote throwing up!
Yesterday I took Dexter to get a nice haircut, a bath, and the full treatment (not cheap). Aren't we so nice?
So today (now mind you he just had a bath and haircut) I found him with something all over his face. What could that be? Mustard? nope, not yellow enough. Chocolate? nope, not brown enough. So after much debate on what ruined his beauty make over I stepped in closer to smell it!
POOP!
Somehow he got a hold of a poopy diaper. (remember, bath and cut YESTERDAY) Not sure exactly how that happened since I haven't changed a poop yet today.
So I have been in the backyard cleaning up a poopy diaper that has been spread out all over the yard and bathing the dog (which I just paid to have done)

So if you are looking to get a dog: cute isn't all it's cracked up to be!! Go for brains!!

Dinosaur Museum

Last weekend my mom, sister and Ryan ran at Thanksgiving point. My mom ran the 5K and my sister and Ryan ran the 1/2 Marathon. Congrats guys!

With their race packets they all got free passes to Thanksgiving Point for the day. So we took advantage of that and went to the Dinosaur Museum. It was SO cold otherwise I think we would have spent the whole day doing the petting zoo and gardens. But it was just too cold.

Diggin for dinosaur bones

We brought our neighbors with us! Ethan loved having his picture taken.

Cambree, Tyler, Caleb

Maybe their too good!

The kids are getting ready to start soccer for the season! Caleb got new soccer cleats this year so before we headed out to soccer practice last night we tried on his new cleats. He was SO excited. As soon as I put them on he started running around the house.

"Mom, these cleats work great. I can run super fast"

No sooner did he say that, his feet started going faster than his brain. He started falling forward while running and he was trying so hard to stay upright......FACE PLANT!!

"Wow, mom. I think these shoes work too good!"
