It made my day!

I love putting the kids to bed. They are SO good about going to bed, it has never been a struggle for us like it is for some. I love reading to them, giving them kisses and "bones" and hugs and tucking them in. I love putting Caden down especially. It is the one time a day that it is just he and I and we can chat and sing and love each other uninterrupted.

Every night I ask Caden which song he would like to sing and he always says "tinkle, tinkle tar" and "jesus, bumbeam" (Twinkle twinkle little start and Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam). So together we sing both of these songs every night. Some nights I just let him sing them to me, I get a kick out of an almost 2 year old singing every word! After we sing we snuggle and talk about the day. We go over what we did, we talk about who loves us, and we say a little prayer. Then my time ends with lots and lots of kisses on my nose. I put him in bed tell him good night only to hear a "see ya soon" from him. Is there anything better?

The other night while we were talking about our day Caden grabbed my face with his 2 little hands to get my full attention. He looked me in the eyes and says, "mama, you bootiful". Nothing like a the innocence of a 2 year old to make me feel so special. To make sure I heard him right I said, "do you think I am beatiful?" "uh, huh" is what he said as his eyes got really big. Then he starts stroking my head and says, "you hair bootiful"

It made my day! I love my kids! I love being a mom! There is nothing better on this planet!

Do we get 1/2 off??

Disregard the peanut butter face
Caleb has lost 7 teeth now, all in the front. It is really funny to watch him try to eat, because he can only use his back teeth. So we went to the Dentist this past week and I asked him if we could get 1/2 off because he only has a few teeth left.......
...NOPE
Caleb actually had to have a TON of work done. He had 8 cavities!! So instead of going to the dentist a few different times to have them worked on and fixed we decided to have them all done at once, which meant he had to be sedated. He was nervous, I was nervous. But everything went GREAT! When they got in there the cavities were worse than they expected and one tooth even had to have a mini root canal and a cap put on it. We call it his Pirate Tooth.
You can't really see it very well, his gums are still swollen from all the work he had done. So needless to say, we will be brushing more and flossing more.
And we think it is totally lame we couldn't get 1/2 off!! (because it cost a pretty penny)

Cambree's preschool ends! boo-hoo

Cambree finished up preschool last week. Let's be honest....I'm sad! It was so good for her and SO good for me!!
Here she is with her buddy Blake

Ms Kylee and Ms Heidi will be missed!
They had a little program and sang songs. It was SO cute!!

Here she is getting her graduation diploma!!

Soccer has begun!

The soccer season is in full force and we are having a GREAT time! Cambree wanted to play this year too, so it is a little hectic. Most of their games are at the same time so we have to conquer and divide so we can both see each kid play. Caleb is doing awesome. I wish we could have played him up a level though, he needs a little bit more of a challenge. He scores so much that the other team cries because they don't score at all! Cambree......well I think dance will be her sport of choice. She gets out there and does her best, she is just not very aggressive. instead of running we call it a prance. But she is liking it, that is all that matters, right?

Rainy Days

We have had a LOT of rainy days here! I think Utah is becoming a rainforest!! So rainy days lead to lots of movies!!

Oldies but Goodies

I have been cleaning out closets and I came across these cute pictures from the kids. This post is more for me that it might be for you. I plan to make my blog into a book, so I will have documents of all these cute drawings the kids made and I can throw away the millions of papers.

Funny-isms

Here are some funny things the kids have said lately:

The other night while Brandon was driving the kids home from my Sister's wedding reception Cambree kept saying,
"My dress is so stinkin cute, I could just die!"
She said that about Ryan and Ashley's car that we decorated,
"Ashley's car is so stinkin cute, I could just die!"

So I have a large mole on the side of my face, actually I have moles everywhere. But there is one in particular that the kids bother me about. But they can never get it in their heads that it is called a mole. They call it a Mullet!! haha
They are always telling me, "mom, there is a Mullet on your face"
"Mom, where did you get that mullet?"
"Mom, will I have mullets on my face too"
"When will my mullets come in?"
"Look mom, I found a mullet on my arm"
Well I guess we are just a family of mullet heads, what can I say?

My baby sis gets married

Well they did it!! My sister got herself hitched!!!

Our cute little family on the temple grounds. The tulips, flowers and trees were gorgeous!

My sis looked SO pretty! Ryan is one lucky man!

These two are excited to be "cousins" (sort of)! Two pees in a pod

They had an ice cream bar, waffle cones, and all the toppings you could hope for.

My handsome dad! I was so proud of him, he shed just a couple little tears during the ceremony, and then after the reception starting singing "Another One Bites the Dust"!

Such a great day! Everything was SO pretty! Congrats you guys, we are SO excited for you!
PS for those who don't know. Ryan did not tell a soul where they were going on their Honeymoon, I got a small quick text from her yesterday that said they just arrived in
Jackson Hole!!

Mother's Day

I love Mother's Day! I got to sleep in until 8:30am. What a treat! I woke up to my kids and hubby walking in with a GIANT plate of breakfast and singing "Mother I Love You". How cute is that? Then my mom was able to come over and spend almost the whole day with us. She went to church with us and was able to hear the kids sing in Sacrament Meeting. Then we came home from church and had the whole family over for some yummy food!

The kids made me the cutest little gifts at school!
It reads:
Sometimes I get discouraged becasue I am so small,
And always leave my fingerprints on furniture and walls.
But everyday I'm growing; -I'll be grown-up someday,
And all these tiny handprints will simply fade away.
So here are my little handprints, just so you can recall,
Exactly how they looked when I was very small.
I love you Mom! Love Caleb H

Cambree gave me these cute little gifts too!
It reads:
My mom is really great;
She's sweet as she can be;
When I need some help, I know
She's always there for me.
Mom loves me all the time,
Even when I'm a pest;
She always takes good care of me;
My mother is the best!

This reads:
My mother is the most important person that I know.
She does so many things for me.....
Like cook and wash and sew.
She dries my eyes and mends my cuts,
She plays with me each day.
And this is how I see her.....
In her very special way.
She has YELLOW hair.
Big BLUE eyes
She's 5 years old
I think she's 16 inches high
And she has a heart of gold.
Her favorite color must be RED
...I think that's what she said.
She weighs about 16,000 100 lbs
And tucks me into bed.
Her favorite food is LASAGNA
I love her you can see.
She's just the perfect mother
And she means everything to me!
All my love,
Cambree

I also got a beautiful spring bouquet of flowers from my handsome hubby!
I am SO grateful to be a mother and to have 3 beautiful kids. I feel so blessed. I couldn't ask for anything more. Thanks for making my day SO nice!!
